Day 1 We’ll depart this morning for our drive south to Louisville. Upon arrival we will enjoy a luncheon at the famous Galt House located along the waterfront. After lunch it’s on to the Kentucky Derby Museum for an interesting look at this iconic Kentucky landmark. This afternoon we will check into the Drury Hotel and enjoy the kick-back reception. Then it’s on to the Mega Cavern “Lights Under Louisville” holiday spectacular. L
Day 2 We’ll check out after breakfast and make our first stop at The Louisville Slugger Museum. You don’t have to be a big baseball fan to love Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory. The factory tour is fascinating. The interactive exhibits are fun. And baseball is such a big part of American history and culture that even folks who don’t think they’re fans find a connection here. A delightful lunch will be enjoyed at the Spaghetti Warehouse before our final stop at Schimpf’s Confectionary to watch holiday confections being made by hand and visit the candy museum. Take home some treats as we head back home. Plan to arrive late afternoon after a great little holiday getaway! B,L
