Day 1: We depart early this morning to begin our adventure to the east coast. Tonight, our overnight is near Allentown, PA.

Day 2: After breakfast, we head for Massachusetts. Welcome to the sandy shores of CAPE COD.  Extending some 70 miles into the sea, the Cape is home to both natural beauty and quaint colonial villages.  You can walk pristine beaches, revel in the arts and culture, and reclaim childhood memories of seashells, sandcastles, and saltwater taffy.  Dinner is included this evening. B, D

Day 3: Breakfast is included at the hotel before meeting your local guide for a full day of touring.  You will travel historic Route 6A, the Old King’s Highway, a scenic byway winding through centuries of Cape Cod history.  It winds past hundreds of historic structures which characterize its early development.   View the Eastham Windmill, a Cape Cod Lighthouse and visit the Cape Cod National Seashore Visitor’s Center.  Sand dunes and the ocean surround you as you approach “Land’s End” – Provincetown.  You are now at the extreme tip of Cape Cod.  Formerly known as the “Province Lands” the pilgrims landed here first before they decided to settle across the Bay in Plymouth.  Take some time to enjoy the wonderful variety of restaurants, shops, and galleries that make this artists/fishermen village so unique.  This afternoon, board an excursion vessel for an amazing experience of Whale Watching.  You will travel into the natural habitat of a diverse marine environment including birds that migrate here from all over the Atlantic, and fish which use these shallow waters to feed.  Try to spot Humpback, Minke, and Fin Whales going about their daily business.  An onboard naturalist will introduce you to everything you see and will answer any of your questions about the whales, birds, fish, and lighthouses. If whale watching isn’t for you, stay on dry land and enjoy a dune excursion, riding through the protected lands of the Cape Cod National Seashore.  Dinner is included this evening. B, D

Day 4: Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, then meet your local guide. Arrive at Hy-Line Docks where you will board a ferry to the stunning island of Nantucket.  Upon arrival, your guide will point out the restaurants, galleries, shops, and museums that are within walking distance of the dock.  Admission is included on a Nantucket Island tour. Lunch and shopping are on your own.  Depart the island late this afternoon.  Dinner is included this evening. B, D

Day 5: Breakfast is again included at the hotel.  Your local guide will travel with you to New Bedford for a special day of touring.  Featured around the historic waterfront district, the New Bedford Whaling’s National Historic Park offers visitors a unique look back at its whaling history. Visit the New Beford Whaling Museum, the largest one in the country dedicated to the history of American whaling.  Experience a sailor’s life as you climb aboard a 19th century whaleship.  This afternoon’s highlight is a Cranberry Bog Tour by A.D. Makepeace, the world’s largest cranberry grower.  Your guide will show you examples of an existing bog, currently in production, and will discuss the stages of the cranberry growing process.  There are two methods of harvesting, and you may even see it happening.  Learn from the expert cranberry growers about farming and harvesting this fruit named “craneberry” by the Pilgrims. A Lobster dinner is included this evening. *An alternate entrée will also be provided. B, D

Day 6: Following an included breakfast, we say goodbye to the Cape and depart for our next overnight stay in Carlisle, PA. B
