Day 6:   Today we travel to Portsmouth in the NH sea coast region. At Strawbery Banke you step over the threshold of history…into life in one of our country’s oldest waterfront neighborhoods. Strawbery Banke is a 10-acre living history museum that has preserved the lifestyles and traditions of four centuries of New Englanders.  Here you can see 40 buildings – most on their original sites.  Strawbery Banke tells the stories of a neighborhood over time.  Have lunch on your own in Portsmouth. This afternoon cross over the border and visit Maine’s oldest town. Our local guide shows us York, featuring a historic neighborhood, York Harbor, dotted with lobster boats and seaside cottages and York Beach.  Stop for a photo at Maine’s southernmost lighthouse, the Nubble Light in Cape Neddick. From Nubble Light you will also spot the infamous Boon Island Lighthouse, located just offshore.  Your tour ends with a stop at Stonewall Kitchen to see the manufacturing of Maine-made condiments and receive a tasty little gift.  Arrive in Kennebunk area for a two-night stay with dinner included this evening.
